BOTOX® Cosmetic
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people from 18 to 65 years of age. It is the only treatment of its type approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Dysport™
Dysport™ is a new competitor to Allergan's BOTOX® Cosmetic. The makers of Restylane®, Medicis, have introduced a new Botox product called "Dysport™" to America. Virtually the same product as BOTOX Cosmetic, Dysport is tauted as quicker acting and is FDA cleared to last up to four months. Restylane®
Restylane® is a crystal-clear, Hyaluronic Acid filler-material. It is a non-animal based, biodegradable gel based on a natural substance, called Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is found naturally throughout the human body, most notably in the joints. Hyaluronic Acid attracts water and is responsible for giving synovial fluid in the joints and elsewhere its gel-like consistency.
Radiesse®
Radiesse® is a non-permanent and safe, FDA-approved facial filler product that restores a natural, youthful look that last longer than any other comparable product. Radiesse fills and corrects smile lines, Nasolabial folds (lines between the nose and corner of the mouth), and wrinkles around the mouth.
Juvéderm™
Juvéderm™ is the newest in a vast line-up of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Filler products. It is made by the same makers as BOTOX® Cosmetic. Although similar to Restylane®, Juvéderm is a larger HA particle that is subject to a unique manufacturing process called Hylacross™. This technology allows for a smoother and longer duration of action.
Candela GentleYAG® Laser
The Candela GentleYAG® laser system safely and effectively treats a wide variety of cosmetic skin problems which include spider veins on the face and/or legs and hair removal. Its newest application is facial/neck skin tightening, which has proven to be very effective and exciting. The GentleYag requires no gels and is safe in all skin types. Its safety profile is especially important for permanent hair reduction in our region.
Candela Smoothbeam™ Laser
Candela Smoothbeam™ Laser is used for acne, acne scarring on the face and back. It is also used for wrinkles. The laser works by targeting and heating the collagen and sebaceous glands in the dermis while protecting the epidermis. A cooling device cools and protects the skin's surface.
Cutera™ Intelligent Pulsed Light (IPL)
For those of you who have not the time to recover from nor the epidermal capacity to withstand lasers -- High Intensity Pulsed Light Therapy may be for you. This promising new procedure is also known as Intelligent Pulsed Light Therapy, computer controlled light therapy, Light Laser, MultiLight, Photo Laser or by various trade and service marks, FotoFacial™, PhotoFacial™, PhotoDerm™, EpiLight™, MultiLight™, PlasmaLight, and I am sure, soon-to-be others.
PhotoDynamic Therapy (PDT)
